Amidst the fall in the price of edible oil, the central government has taken an important decision. The government has exempted retail shopkeepers from the order of storage limit.
In a statement, the Ministry of Food and Consumer Affairs, while giving information about the order to remove the stock limit on the sellers of edible oils and oilseeds, said that
it is being implemented with immediate effect. The ministry said the move would allow wholesalers and shopping chain retailers to have more varieties and brands of edible oils. At
present, due to the stock limit, he had only limited stock of edible oils. The government had imposed stock limits on retailers, wholesalers and bulk consumers on October 8 last
